I'm grateful for Companionship...

As things have not gone to completely to plan this week with early mornings, assignments coming out of my ears, no time to do sewing and not everyone in the house being happy I am grateful for COMPANIONSHIP.

It was early December last year when I was blessed with surprise of a lovely moodle (maltese x poodle) puppy of which my mother named Sampson. I was never a dog person until the day I met my Sampson boy and ever since then he has been my rock. Things not always go right around here and whenever I need a shoulder to cry on he is looking up at me with his big brown eyes just waiting for me to tell my problems to him while I cherish the ability to do this without being put down because of what I am saying or doing. His companionship is amazing and it is with a bond like ours that I know he will always be there for me, willing to do anything and protect me from anyone.

So this week, as I join in with Maxabella, I am thankful to have Sampson and his companionship helping me on my journey through life and allowing me to always have someone there looking out for me..

Work In Progress - Fabric Bin Cover

Today as I was gazing (yes gazing!) through my drawer of "to do" projects and I found one that is desperately in need of completion at the moment. I began tise bin cover, of which I can't find the source of my pattern for, in January *gasp* and today came to the conclusion that it MUST BE FINISHED by the end of the week.

I chose a pink spotted fabric as well as a wonderful bird pattern that I found at the wonderful fabric store "The Rainbow Patch".

The pattern is very simple, all you need to do is measure your bin to adjust the fabric to its specific height and you are done (pretty much!)

I got as far as sewing the four panels together now all I have to do is sew the base and inner panels on!

The countdown is on and hopefully by the end of the week there will be a wonderful post about my finished bin cover!
Hope your weekend was as joyous as mine.

My Creative Space

Yes folks, it is finally here! My very first creative space. Today I have been busy finishing projects that I have crafted for my cousins birthdays.

A simple covered pillow, "I Heart You" doll from Wee Wonderfuls and a cute "Hector the Giraffe" of which I photocopied the pattern for. All of my fabrics I found at Spotlight (never thought I would ever say that!).

Please excuse the poor quality of the photos as my camera is well and truly due for retirement! Well I certainly feel I have accomplished something with my very first creative space, next time I can hopefully be a bit more thorough although I look forward to many in the future!

Yoga Night!

Tonight I enjoyed a lovely session of Yoga with the lovely Maria Steiner at the Ipswich PCYC. It was definitely great to stretch down from my game of basketball last night!

I thought that I would upload some photos of my recent creations that I have up for sale. Although I do have an Etsy store I think I will just stick with advertising them on here for ease! If you are interested in any of these products just leave a comment with your email and I will contact you as soon as possible.

Dice Canvas' - $15.
I had planned to glue these together to make a canvas dice but that did not go to plan, they would be perfect to hang on a wall as a cute little nic nac.

Apple Tree - $15. This is one of my fabric covered canvas' and on the top of the fabric I have glued a cotton aplique. This is a very cute canvas and is perfect for any little girls room.

Fly Away - $10. This is another one of my fabric covered canvas' that I have added a cardboard applique onto. Once again this would be perfect for a little girls room or even under a patio for in a garden!

Please do not hesitate to comment so that I know I am not just talking to myself out here in cyberspace!

Welcome to Blogger!

Yes folks this is my introduction to blogger and I am going to strive to do my hardest with regular posts! At the moment I am working on a fabric covered canvas for a friends child's room and also a giraffe for my cousins birthday. I am hoping that I will be able to do a tutorial of the giraffe as it is simplistic but cute and effective, this should be up for you on Saturday (I hope!!).

During many of my posts you will find that I use bird inspired fabric because I am simply in love with birds! I am in the middle of doing a reno on my room with birds as the themes and so far I have made a bin cover that I also plan to do a tutorial on!

So many tutorials I am hoping to do! Hopefully I will be able to fit all of my favorites in !
